Yonex RQS 11 Tennis Racquet : Click to Enlarge The Yonex RQS 11 features Elastic Ti, the world’s first nano-scale alloy that combines extremely low elasticity and extremely high strength. This material has 44% lower elasticity and 8% higher strength compared to the previous best Titanium alloy. Racquets with this material will snap back quicker than conventional racquets to give higher repulsion power with accurate resiliency for improved face stability. By widening the isometric area (due to the square shape of the head), the sweet spot is 20% bigger compared to the conventional round head racquet. This has allowed Yonex to achieve more power and repulsion than ever before. A “3D Carbon Sheet” placed into the shaft provides face stability and 12% more maneuverability. By weaving carbon fibers in 3 directions, the pulling strength is equalized in 3 directions meaning the shaft has greater resistance to twisting forces. The shaft is sculpted into a ‘surf board’ like shape to provide advanced face stability. Soft Grommets, located at the four corners of the frame, are designed to reduce the shock from any off-center hits, widening the sweet spot still further.
